I feel your pain! This was one of the very first things Clay told me about tumbling when we first met... "here's where you're about to learn a WHOLE BUNCH of patience!!" Those seam agates are so worth it though, in the end. Good things come to those who wait, right?! 😊

That sure does look like serpentine to me. There's lots in the area. I'll try to pull up a pic of a similar specimen from that area.
