The time to get that first batch done was about 3 months. We started stage 1 tumbling on February 7th. Once we had enough rocks ready to move on, it took 36 days for stages 2, 3, 4, and burnishings. We have another batch running now in stage 2. We will have another batch done in a few more weeks.
We absolutely love this Agate mix. Too bad that we won't be able to get anymore of it 😪.
Sounds like the tumbling process I had with Moroccan Seam Agate. It took forever but the end result was pretty special.
Right?? I'm REALLY going to miss Meeko's rough. I still have several pounds left to tumble but it won't last forever.
I know of a few other suppliers that I've purchased rough rock from but it's not nearly as nice as Clay's. I've used The Gem Shop in Wisconsin, The Rock Shed and Rock Tumbler as well as a couple of one-offs I wouldn't buy from again. Rock Tumbler has nice rough but the variety is pretty limited.
If you find a new source you really like, please clue me in!! 🤔
Great color and features! Love the druzy pockets (of course I do!). How long was the tumble?
